これから北京および中国へ留学する方へ
4月9日土曜日、清華のすぐ近く中関村で大規模デモがありました。
『日本製品を買うな』運動です。
大使館や日本料理屋、停めてあった日本車もいじめられたみたい。
北京だけではなく上海や深センでも、日本人が被害を受ける事件が起こっています。
でもこれから北京ないし中国へ留学しようとしている方が
これをきっかけに留学を断念してしまうのは残念でならない。
そんなに心配しなくても、実際はけっこう大丈夫。
まず大学内では、テレビを見たり新聞読んだりしない限り
外で何が起こっているのかさっぱりわからないもの。
よって、学内で生活するだけなら心配はほとんどないと言ってもいいでしょう。
大学を出るときも、特に気をつける事といえば
○いかにも日本人だという格好はしない
○騒ぎが起こっている場所にわざわざ行かない（行って日本人だと名乗るのは論外）
だから知らん顔しろ、ということです。
もちろん、中国人学生に向かって故意に中傷するような事を言うなど
自分からケンカを売るようなマネをしてしまえば、それなりに問題は起こるはず。
これをきっかけに留学をやめてしまうようなことはしないで。
来ればわかります。大事なことはもっと他にある。
